A fun dog show at the Anglia Motel at Fleet on Sunday has raised around £800 for the charity Hounds for Heroes.

Jacki Hardy and her family had already raised £4,200 for the charity from previous shows and are delighted with the super support they received at the weekend.

Hounds for Heroes train assistance dogs for injured servicemen and women from the forces as well as emergency service personnel working on the home front.

Jacki said: “It was a brilliant day and we had an excellent turnout and we just want to thank everyone who supported us.”

There were 12 pedigree classes and 19 novelty classes, including best fancy dress, waggiest tail and the dog the judge would most like to take home.

Participants included an owner who makes fancy dress for his dogs and he showed two bull breeds in military uniform while the Last Post played in the background.
