South Holland's council tax to rise




Council tax payers in South Holland are expected to have to fork out around a fiver extra per year until 2023-24 to cover the district authority's share of the charge.

The overall bill will add in further charges for the county council, police and parish councils, and has yet to be finalised.

Provisional figures issued by South Holland show its Band D rate likely to rise by 2.83% (£4.95) to £179.73 in the 2020/2021 financial year starting in spring.

Predictions for the following financial years show broadly similar rises of 2.75%, 2.68% and 2.61%.

Lincolnshire County Council is proposing its share goes up by 3.5%, which will take its Band D rate to £1,337.58, up by £45.18 on the present year.
