CROWLAND Juniors Football Club will be holding its AGM on Sunday, July 7, at 6pm in the Crowland Pavilion, Snowden Field. All welcome to attend.
THE 35th Crowland Show is on Saturday. There will be displays of birds, German Shepherd dogs and circus workshops for the children. Horse classes in seven rings, dog show, baby show and WI classes. All entries to the main tent between 9am and 10.30am. 30p entry per item. Children free. Craft section, children’s class, art section, cookery section, flower section. THORNEY Road, Crowland, will be closed for carriageway re-surfacing works week commencing July 1 for one week (subject to weather conditions and unforeseen events). The work will be carried out between 9am and 5pm.
MONDAY evening walk on July 1 will be in Thorpe Meadows. Meet at the former St Guthlac School by 6.25pm to share transport.
FILMMAKER Steven Hatton is working on a multi media project to create a video installation inspired by the ruins of the nave at Crowland Abbey. Come along and chat to him on Tuesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 4, from 10am until 5pm in the Crowland Abbey Car Park.

THERE will be a summer fayre and barbecue at Fleet Baptist Church on Saturday from 2pm. The fayre will be inside in the case of wet weather. All welcome.
NEXT meeting of the Gosberton Good Companion’s Club is in the Public Hall on Tuesday, July 2 at 2pm. The previous week the club enjoyed a lovely outing to Cambridge and prior to that a wonderful holiday in Bournemouth.

Gosberton Clough and Risegate
GOSBERTON Risegate Methodist Church is the venue for a meeting of the Gosberton Churches Together on today at 7.30pm.
THE annual garden fete for the church of St Gilbert and St Hugh, Gosberton Clough and Risegate will once again be held at Riseholme Farm, in Gosberton Risegate on Saturday, July 6 at 3pm. The Spalding Ukulele Band will be playing.
RESIDENTS from Gosberton Clough and Risegate will be interested to learn that Lorna Webb and her team of helpers are putting on two coffee mornings with strawberries and cream for the Marie Curie Cancer Care. The first is at Mrs Webb’s home, 2 Poachers Gate, Pinchbeck, on Tuesday, July 9 from 10am to noon and together with the strawberries there will be scones, coffee, stalls of cakes, quiches, preserves, plants and vegetables and jewellery and books and also a raffle. On the following day, Wednesday, July 10, in the Gosberton Church Hall the weekly coffee morning at which Mrs Webb is a regular helper will also be for Marie Curie. It will include strawberries and cream and scones and a raffle.
MONTHLY Service at the Methodist Chapel will take place a week earlier than usual, on Sunday, June 30 at 2.30pm.
LADIES Group will meet at the Methodist Chapel on Thursday, July 4th at 2pm when Edinburgh Woollen Mill will be bringing a selection of clothes and accessories. This is an open meeting and all are welcome.
COMBINED service with St Mary’s Church on Sunday is at 9.30am at Cowbit.
WESTON Parish meeting is on Monday at 7.30pm in the village hall.
GIFT day takes place at St John’s Church on July 7, from 3pm to 6pm, along with a cream tea.
VILLAGE Hall committee meeting is on Tuesday, July 9 at 8pm in the village hall.
