THE Royal British Legion Club presents popular singer Paul Copestake on Saturday. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets from the club bar £5 or £6 on the door.

HOLY Trinity and St Polycarp Churches will be holding their gift day on Saturday, June 8, at Holy Trinity Church from 9.30am to 4pm. There will be tombola and a raffle. Tea and coffee will be served in the church.


THE Glebe Singers are giving a concert in the St Peter and St Paul’s Church on Saturday, June 15 at 7.30pm. The 40-strong choir will sing a variety of songs, there will be refreshments and a raffle. Tickets are £8 from Debbie Reynolds on 01775 841585 or on the door.

GOSBERTON Ladies’ Circle has its annual meeting together with a quiz on Thursday, June 13 at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church. £3 per meeting.

GARDENING expert Daphne Ledward will be speaking at the Women’s Institute meeting on Tuesday, June 11 in the Public Hall at 7.15pm. The competition will be for a gardening tip and the stall is a general bring and buy.


OASIS Club for primary school age children meets today in the Reading Rooms, Church Street, 10-11.30am for plenty of free fun, games, stories, drama and music. Details phone Gill Graper 01406 423803.

NEXT cake stall at All Saints’ Church is on Saturday, 10am. Every Saturday morning tea and coffee are available in the Mary Bass Room in All Saints’ Church.

ARMCHAIR keep fit with Lorraine on Monday, 7pm, at the Royal British Legion Hall, West Street.


PINCHBECK Photographic Group presents ‘Route 66’ by David Steel. David and his wife take a trip along Route 66 by Harley Davidson motorcycle and present stunning photographs today at Birchgrove Garden Centre, at 7.30pm. Admission £3 non-members.


THE next meeting of Spalding Probus Club will be at the South Holland Centre on Wednesday at 12.15pm for 12 45pm. The speaker will be Phil Banner, whose subject will be ‘Aviation Heritage, Lincolnshire’.

BROAD Street Methodist Church is holding a coffee morning and snack lunches on Saturday, 10am-1pm. Cakes, Fairtrade and books will be on sale. On Sunday, June 9, at 3pm, you can enjoy summer praise in the marquee at Springfields gardens. This is an informal service organised by the church and led by the Rev Margaret Mwailu, with music by Broad Street Music Group.

A PET service will be held at St Paul’s Church, Fulney, this Sunday at 10am.

BINGO will be held at St Paul’s Church Hall, Fulney, on Monday at 7.30pm.

Whaplode Drove

AT the recent Family Get2gether the subject was food and in particular, the need for foodbanks, which have been set up in Spalding, Holbeach and Long Sutton. As a result, there will be a collecting box available for the donation of tins and dried foods in the church porch this Saturday,2-4pm. All donations of food items will be given to the Agape Care Foodbank for distribution to those in need. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available during this time.
