CROWLAND Women’s Institute is holding its annual meeting on Tuesday at the British Legion Hall at 7.30pm. The competition is for a hand knitted item – to be worn.

GOSBERTON group of churches are offering confirmation classes to both adults and young people. These are usually held weekly or fortnightly in the months prior to the confirmation service. It is hoped to hold a confirmation service in November, so classes might start about Easter. For details contact Rev Ian Walters on 01775 840694.

Clough and 

MANY of the Gosberton Clough and Risegate residents go along to the beetle drives in Gosberton, and the Gosberton Public Hall Trustees are holding one together with a sausage and mash in the Public Hall on Saturday, February 23, 5.45pm for 6pm start. Entrance is by ticket only and are £6 from Ray Noble on 01775 840372.

THERE are always a number of residents from Gosberton Clough and Risegate at the coffee mornings organised by Lorna Webb and her team of helpers. On Shrove Tuesday, February 12 they are holding a coffee and pancake morning from 10am to noon at Mrs Webb’s home, 2 Poachers Gate, Pinchbeck. Cakes, pastries, preserves, plants and vegetables are just some of the goodies to be on sale and there will also be a raffle. Proceeds are for the St Barnabas Hospice’s Jenny Freeman Lodge at Spalding.


A NOTE for your diaries – a special Easter bingo for Macmillan Care will be held on Friday, March 15 at Holbeach Community Centre. Good prizes and cash games, starts 7pm.

AT the recent charity auction held at the Horse and Groom for the Youth Cancer Trust, £407.50 was raised. Sue and David Stubbs would like to thank everyone who donated goods, bid for goods or helped on the night. Also Nick and Tracey at the Horse and Groom.

HOLBEACH Town Band’s next monthly bingo is at the WI Hall, Holbeach, tomorrow. Eyes down at 7.30pm.

LADIES Group are in need of new members to join a group which meets every last Wednesday of each month. Meetings start at 7.30pm and include talks/demonstrations from interesting persons, light refreshments available during the session.
