A set of new flags will be created to celebrate the heritage and character of towns across Lincolnshire as part of the Magna Carta celebrations this year.
Residents from Long Sutton and Spalding will join eight othertowns in working alongside professional artists to create flags that best reflect their unique communities.
The project, called Radiating Signals, is being delivered in a partnership between Lincolnshire Co-op and Lincolnshire County Council as part of the Magna Carta 800th anniversary celebrations.
The artists will work alongside local people to design two flags per community which will then play an important part of the celebrations in Lincoln on June 13 and 14.
The flags will then be on display at Lincoln Castle and other large public events for the rest of the summer before returning to their permanent homes back in the communities they represent.
Although all members of the public are invited to take part, you must apply for a ticket, which is free. Ticket forms and all the details of the sessions can be accessed at www.lincolnshire.coop/tickets
The Long Sutton event is Market House at 6.30pm next Wednesday, April 1 and the Spalding session is at 10.30am this Saturday at the South Holland Centre.
