Deliveroo coming to Spalding
Deliveroo is set to launch in Spalding in the next couple of months.
The food delivery service is in the process of recruiting riders and drivers - and wants to sign up local businesses to use its platform too.
Harrison Foster, Deliveroo’s UK Regional Director, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Spalding and we’re excited to be launching in the next couple of months. We’re really excited to be creating new work opportunities for local people.
“The team is looking for people with passion, drive and who want to deliver great customer service, who are seeking the added benefit of flexible work, amongst other perks. Anyone who's interested should head over to our website to sign up.”
Deliveroo says its positions could be ideal for those wanting 'on-demand, flexible work', including people looking to fit extra work around other commitments or students.
The company works with 50,000 riders across the UK and has become an established service in cities over the past eight years.
It says riders are offered free insurance and training courses for them and their families.
It's not yet known when Deliveroo plans to launch or which shops and restaurants will be offered but a spokesman said that the company is asking for local businesses to come forward to be listed on Deliveroo.
Once launched, customers will be able to order through Deliveroo from participating supermarkets, shops, restaurants and takeaways.
Restaurants, takeaways and grocery retailers can apply at restaurants.deliveroo.com/en-gb to become a Deliveroo partner.
