TWO Deepings fish and chip shops will fight it out to be crowned the region’s best once again.
Linfords and the Boundary have cemented Market Deeping’s place as one of the nation’s top towns for fish and chips by both making the East of England’s top three for the Independent Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of the Year award for the second year running.
Last year the Boundary came out on top and made it through to the next stage of the National Fish and Chip Awards.
The pair face competition from Fryz in Peterborough and if they earn the crown of the region’s best they will go to a grand final in London next January.
All three now face a visit from an industry judge who will assess product quality, customer service, hygiene, innovation, staff training and development, promotions and sustainable sourcing.
