Decision due on Fleet Hargate bus stop parking

Planners will be deciding whether to prevent parking in front of a Fleet Hargate bus stop.

Lincolnshire County Council's Planning and Regulation Committee will be deciding whether to introduce yellow bus stop markings in front of a bus shelter in Old Main Road.

A report to Monday's meeting states that parking in front of the bus stop obstructs the buses as there are currently no restrictions.

It states: "The proposed bus stop clearway will prevent parking or stopping within the area of the shelter by any vehicle other than a bus, and promote safe access on and off the vehicle via raised kerbs.

"There will be minimal impact on the availability of on street parking in the area as a result of its introduction."
