Pupils at Monkshouse Primary School witnessed some thrilling bike riding by a recent visitor.

Danny Butler brought his Extreme Mountain Bike Show to the Pennygate school and entertained the children with some thrilling stunts.

But it wasn't all about Danny's daredevilry, as he talked to the youngsters about the dedication needed to make it to the top in sport and the lifestyle he has to lead to accommodate his competition schedule.

Danny also spoke about living a healthy lifestyle, about eating the right amounts of certain foods and the importance of rest at a young age.

A school spokeswoman said: "I know the children all really enjoyed it!"
