Woman cyclist dies in Weston Hills after collision with tractor

A cyclist has died following a collision with a tractor in Weston Hills last night (Tuesday).

The woman in her 50s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident in Fengate Drove.

Police closed the road at around 5.11pm after the collision between the cyclist and a green tractor towing a trailer and it was re-opened 1am this morning.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision.

A spokesman said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either the green tractor and trailer or the pedal cyclist in the area around 5pm.

"We would ask drivers who have dashcam and may have caught either vehicle or cycle to check their footage.

"Anyone who has any information is asked to contact us by email at force.control@lincs.police.uk or by calling 101. Please quote incident number 290 of October 13."
