CROWLAND PARISH COUNCIL: Decision time for Young Achievers 2018

Nominations are now being studied by parish councillors ahead of the Crowland Young Achievers for 2018 being chosen.

The awards will be presented at South View Primary School in Postland Road on Wednesday, July 11, at 6.30pm.

Winners of the under-13 award, as well as the 13-18s Young Achiever, will be named during an event organised by Crowland Parish Council.

Chairman Coun Cathie Elphee said: “Every year, Crowland Parish Council asks for nominations to recognise deserving young people in two age categories, under 13s and 13-18s.

"The awards are announced in March, with the closing date for nominations in May and the Presentation Awards Ceremony held in July.

"Nominations can be made in writing at any time during the year.

“Every year, we find that the future of Crowland is in the hands of these young people and the town can be proud of them.”

This year's winners will succeed Mitchell Staff (17), who dyed his hair blue and raised £1,200 for a cancer charity Sue Ryder, and Kyle Warner (11), who has supported friend Isaac Fell through treatment for leukaemia.
