Crowds gathered at Surfleet Reservoir for the annual Sea Sunday Service in the village.
The service started at 2pm, and was conducted by Rev David Sweeting from St Laurence Church in Surfleet, with readings and addresses from priests from other local Baptist churches.
The service is a tradition which has been carried out for over 30 years in the village, and nationally, to pray for and remember seafarers and their families who support them.
A collection at the end of the service raised over £120 for the Mission to Seafarers.
Douglas Drakard, churchwarden at St Laurence Church, said: “It was a lovely afternoon where around 60 people and four boats turned up at the service, which was excellent.”
