LEARN MOREClashes between fans marred a football game earlier this week.
As Pinchbeck United’s 2-1 home victory over Skegness Town drew to a close on Easter Monday, the visitors had two players shown red cards. These were reportedly handed out after the Skegness players punched a Pinchbeck opponent.
Pinchbeck chairman Gary Coomes said members of the crowd got into an altercation shortly afterwards.
"One or two fans got excited, but there was nothing horrendous about it," he said.
Mr Coomes suggested one of the fans may have been the parent of the Pinchbeck player who was struck. He said no fans could enter the pitch because the club has stewards in place.
