CYCLISTS are being warned to secure their bikes when they visit Spalding town centre.
Police say there has been an increase in the number of thefts in the town.
A distinctive 20-inch frame mountain bike has been among the latest to be taken.
The bike was taken from a patch of grass next to the river on Commercial Road, where the owner had left the cycle insecure for five minutes at about 9pm on October 21 and returned to find it gone.
It is described as having a cream frame, green front forks, front suspension, “Stu” stamps all over the frame, black wheels, short black handlebars and a big grey metal chain around the seat.
Anyone with information or any cyclists who would like security information should call PC Scott McCaig on 0300 1110300.
