A WOMAN accused of lying to police over the abduction and assault of a 15-year-old girl faces trial at Norwich Crown Court next year.

Victoria Dix (22), of Nene Meadows in Sutton Bridge, pleaded not guilty to a charge of tending or intending to pervert the course of justice at the court on Tuesday.

She appeared with Liam Wells (26) of North End Yard, King’s Lynn. He denies sexually assaulting the teenager in Dersingham, Norfolk, on January 27 this year and detaining her on the same date.

Dix is accused of making a series of false statements to police and lying about her phone usage between February 3 and 19.

Wells was released on conditional bail and Dix on unconditional bail.

They face a trial on February 6 next year.
