A DRINK-driver, who was also banned from driving when stopped by police, received a suspended prison term when he appeared in court for sentence.

Ervins Liskops (32), of River Walk, Spalding, pleaded guilty to his third drink-driving offence within ten years when he appeared at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 28.

He also admitted having a month and five days to serve from a three-year ban.

At Tuesday’s resumed hearing, Liskops was given a 12-week prison term, suspended for a year, and a year-long supervision order with 200 hours’ unpaid work.

He was disqualified for 40 months and must pay £85 costs.

Liskops was arrested on July 8 after a tip-off that a man was staggering around before getting into a BMW in St Thomas’s Road, Spalding.
