THIEVES put a private hire vehicle out of action for three days when they smashed the driver’s and passenger’s side windows to steal a sat nav and mobile phone.
The bright orange Fiat Qubo, owned by Paul’s Private Hire Firm, was targeted in Gore Lane, Spalding, on Monday lunchtime along with a vehicle owned by a member of staff. That vehicle had a window smashed but nothing stolen.
Mark Hancocks, office manager at the Sheep Market firm, said the company vehicle would be off the road for three to three-and-a-half days to have the windows replaced.
Both stolen items had been placed out of sight.
