A MAN and a boy have admitted stealing an audio loudspeaker in a burglary at Spalding’s South Holland Centre.
Shane Cooper (21), of Heron Lane, Spalding, appeared before town magistrates on Thursday and is due back at court today for sentence.
His co-accused, a boy of 17, had his case sent to the youth court and he will appear there on November 9.
Magistrates heard the offence happened on June 21.
Solicitor Mike Alexander, representing both accused, said a door was open at the centre and Cooper had gone in and picked up the speaker.
A man challenged him outside, the speaker was left at that point and Cooper and the boy ran off.
Mr Alexander said Cooper was “still on licence in relation to a burglary” and he accepted the custody threshold was “there or thereabouts”.
