SOUTH Holland police inspector Jim Tyner has been honoured with the Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

Insp Tyner was among 12 recipients presented with medals by wing commander Richard Turner of RAF Scampton.

Insp Tyner is the Neighbourhood Response Inspector for South Holland and has spent most of his service in the Spalding area. He joined as a Special Constable in 1989.

During his career he has been a Constable, Sergeant and Inspector in the Spalding area.

In recent years, Jim has been seconded to the National Policing Improvement Agency in London and has worked as a Staff Officer for Lincolnshire’s Chief Constable Neil Rhodes. Jim returned to operational policing in the South Holland area last November.
