A SPALDING mum due to be sentenced because her teenage daughter failed to attend school must comply with a bail condition to keep an appointment with the Probation Service.

The 49-year-old appeared at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Thursday but sentencing could not go ahead because she had failed to attend a probation service appointment for a report to be prepared.

She is now due to be sentenced on May 24.

The woman pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to being the parent of a child who failed to attend school regularly between September 5 and October 20 last year.

The court made a ruling that the child cannot be identified.
