Police are urging residents to vigilant after several reports of thefts in the Fleet and Fleet Hargate areas.
PCSO Jane Gardner, from Holbeach town and rural policing team, said: “We have had reports today (Saturday, November 21) in relation to thefts from motor vehicles in the Fleet/Fleet Hargate areas.
“One had a window broken into to gain access to the vehicle, the others were insecure but damage caused to items within.”
“Please remember to secure your vehicles even if they are on your property and on a gated driveway.
“Ensure nothing of value is left in the vehicle overnight.
“Anything left in the vehicle should be put in the boot out of sight.
“Don’t leave bags in the car with nothing in them.
“You know there is nothing in them but the thief does not and will break in - in the hope of finding something and leaving you with the repair bill for the damage caused to gain access.”
And PCSO Gardner says hedge cutters have been stolen from a property in Bensgate, Fleet.
She said: “Check you sheds and outbuildings and make sure your items are still there. Make sure your sheds are as secure as they can be.
“Make sure you know what you have in your sheds and the make/model and serial number of any power tools.
