Police make arrests in Spalding robbery bid

TWO people are being questioned by police after a 40-year-old man was threatened with a knife in an attempted robbery in Spalding.

The victim, who lives in Spalding, was walking down an alleyway between Hawthorn Bank and Rembrandt Way at about 8.50pm on Tuesday, when he was approached by two men who waved a small blade at him.

The man fled and was unharmed in the incident. Nothing was taken.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or with any other information about the incident to contact them.

The victim described one of his attackers as 6ft tall, of medium build, with dark hair and wearing dark trousers or jeans and a dark, padded jacket.

The second was shorter and of stocky build.

Police were yesterday (January 26) questioning a 24-year-old and 22-year-old, both from Spalding.
