TWO men accused of being involved in a robbery at a South Lincolnshire post office are to face trial.

Sam Holmes (21), of The Knole, Eltham, in South-East London, and David Leadbeater (22), of no fixed address but originally from Plumstead, London, denied robbery at the post office in Station Road, Tydd Gote on June 21 when they appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.

Their cases were adjourned for trial and both men were remanded in custody.

Sasha Cracknell (21), of The Old School House, Allenby’s Chase, Sutton Bridge, appeared in the dock alongside Holmes and Leadbeater also accused of robbery at Tydd Gote on the same date.

No plea was taken in her case and she was bailed to appear back before the Crown Court in November.

The charges follow an incident in which a member of the post office staff was allegedly threatened with a gun during an incident in which cash was stolen.
