New court date over hacking

A TEENAGER accused of hacking into a string of high-profile websites will return to court next year.

Jake Davis (18) is on bail and under curfew at his mum’s home in Beech Avenue in Spalding while he faces five charges including conspiring to carry out a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The attacks see websites flooded with traffic to make them crash.

There was a short hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday, that Davis did not attend, and Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith said he will need to appear for a case and plea management hearing at the court on January 27.
