A man of 46 was more than three times the legal drink-drive limit when police stopped his car in Church Street, Pinchbeck.
Romaldas Taucas (46), of The Ramper, Spalding, had 108 microgrammes of alcohol in breath – the legal limit is 35 mcgs.
Magistrates sitting at Boston heard Taucus had a previous drink-drive matter, for which he was banned from driving for two years in 2009.
On Wednesday Taucas was given an interim driving ban for a period of six months or until sentenced.
His case was adjourned to July 2 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service.
Taucas pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with excess alcohol on April 28.
