Missing man with Japanese tattoo may be in Spalding

A 41-year-old man reported missing at the weekend may be in the Spalding area, police have today claimed.

Andrew Mark Lever, known as Andy and from Banbury, Oxfordshire, was last seen by his family on Saturday and may have driven to Spalding for reasons not yet known.

Thames Valley Police is working with forces in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire to locate Mr Lever as it is also thought that he may have travelled towards Peterborough or Chatteris.

Mr Lever is described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with short brown hair and two tattoos, one on each arm.

One is of a Japanese symbol and the other tattoo is of a black and red design.

Mr Lever was wearing a grey t-shirt, black three-quarter length jeans and he was driving a blue Ford Ka with a partial number plate of BW03.

Det Insp Claire Thorngate of Thames Valley Police, who is leading the search, said: “We are increasingly concerned for Mr Lever’s welfare due to his state of mind when he went missing.

“I would appeal to anyone who may know his whereabouts, or to Mr Lever himself if he reads this, to contact us as soon as possible.”
