Four men aged between 24 and 33 have been arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally after handing themselves in at Spalding Police Station.

The men, all from Syria, walked into the police station in Westlode Street at about 3pm yesterday and claimed they had hidden in the back of a lorry at the French port of Calais.

After their arrests, the men were interviewed at Boston Police Station and are now waiting to be passed over to Home Office Immigration Enforcement officials for their cases to be examined.
