A man, formerly of Swineshead, has been jailed for eight years for a string of “horrendous and harrowing” sexual assaults on children.

Gary Taylor (48), formerly of Adrian Close, Swineshead, had previously admitted to charges, including sexual activity in the presence of a child, causing and inciting children into prostitution or pornography and making indecent photographs of children. Taylor was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday after also pleading guilty to possession of indecent images of children, including extreme pornography and voyeurism.

Karen McNulty, a former partner of Taylor’s from Boston, was given a prison term of four years ten months after previously admitting to charges of child sexual assault, sexual activity in the presence of a child and voyeurism.

Detective Constable Michelle Adamson, who led the police investigation, said, “This case has been horrendous and a harrowing ordeal for all the victims involved.

“I would like to pay tribute to their bravery and assistance throughout the investigation.

“It is a clear message to offenders that such criminal activity will be uncovered and prosecution will follow.”

Supt Rick Hatton, head of Lincolnshire Police’s Public Protection Unit added: “The investigation is a credit to the detectives involved because their detailed and meticulous case preparation brought Gary Taylor and Karen McNulty to court to face justice.”
