Man arrested after street attack in Bourne

A man has been arrested and questioned in connection with an attack on another man in Bourne last weekend.

Police were called to Pinfold Road at about 9.45pm on Sunday, October 18, after a 27-year-old man had been reportedly assaulted with a metal bar.

The victim was taken to Peterborough City Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his face.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said the man arrested wa bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 393 of October 18.

Meanwhile, intruders entered a home and stole a purse containiing cash in Bourne on Thursday.

Police are treating it as a sneak-in burglary which happened sometime between 10am and 11am at a house in Grosvenor Avenue Bourne.
