Farm and plant machinery owners in the Holbeach area are being warned to review their security following an increase in thefts from rural locations.

PCSO Ian Cripps, of the Holbeach Town and Rural beat team sent out a Lincs Alert today warning people to ‘be as vigilant as possible’.

He said: “We have seen an increase in farm and plant machinery being stolen from rural locations and premises.

“Please review your security arrangements and be as vigilant as possible.”

He asked for people to report suspicious incidents to call the police non-emergency number on 101 or 999 if deemed an emergency.
