Jailed businessman Chinn loses appeal court bid

A MULTI-millionaire businessman who was jailed for bottling a woman in a nightclub has lost a Court of Appeal bid to clear his name.

Michael Paul Chinn (37), of Weston Hills was jailed for 15 months in December after he was found guilty of wounding Meghan Davies during an incident in Spalding’s Loaded nightclub on September 30, 2010.

Last month, he took his case to the Court of Appeal in London in a bid to overturn the conviction, but today his case was rejected in a judgment by Lord Justice Aikens, who said the conviction was “safe”
