Intruders targeted homes along the River Welland over a three-night period, including a house in Double Street where a mobile phone and TV were stolen at about midnight on Saturday.

This followed burglaries at two other homes between 11pm and midnight on Thursday when two mobiles and an electronic notebook from one of the homes.

Spalding community policing inspector Jim Tyner said: “Two of these properties were unsecured when they were entered showing that, even in warm weather, residents should keep their windows secure.”
