A MAN flung a chair through the front window of his partner’s Bourne home after he was asked to leave.

Rebecca Ritson, prosecuting, said Danny Cowper went outside and his partner locked the door of her council home.

But he picked up a chair they had been using in the garden and smashed the front window.

District Judge Richard Blake told Cowper: “The truth of this is it’s all about the booze, isn’t it?”

The judge urged Cowper to seek help from his GP.

Cowper (25), of Greetham Road, Cottesmore, was ordered to pay £156 compensation to South Kesteven District Council and £85 prosecution costs.

He admitted criminal damage but was given no separate penalty.

Solicitor Mike Alexander said Cowper’s partner was seeking a reconciliation. Currently Cowper was not getting help for his drink problem.
