A woman who was at one time living in Spalding has admitted charges of theft and assault which took place in the town.

Zena Lunness (35), formerly of Winsover Road but now living in Nottingham, had been due to face trial by jury at Lincoln Crown Court but changed her pleas to guilty before a jury was sworn in.

Lunness admitted to assaulting Sarah Smith, causing her actual bodily harm, in August 2013 and the theft of £50 from the same woman on the same date.

Recorder Steven Evans adjourned sentence for the preparation of a probation report and Lunness was granted conditional bail.
