POLICE had a tip off and arrested pensioner Graham Charlton when he was over the drink-drive limit in Rycroft Avenue, Deeping St James.

Spalding magistrates on Thursday banned Charlton (75), of Dukes Mead, Peterborough, from driving for a year when he admitted having 45 microgrammes of alcohol in breath – ten over the limit. He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £50 costs with a £15 victim surcharge. Charlton can cut three months off the ban if he completes a rehabilitation course.
