Police have confirmed that a dog had to be treated by vets after a suspected poisoning incident in Spalding earlier this month.

The dog’s owner claimed that their pet was given antifreeze outside a house in Heather Court overnight on Tuesday, December 1.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said the matter had been reported to them but the case was now closed.

The incident came just four months after three domestic cats were fatally poisoned with anti-freeze in Bourne within days of each other.
