Couple wanted over animal neglect charges

RSPCA intelligence officers are hunting down a Long Sutton couple facing serious charges of animal neglect.

Warrants with bail have been issued on Aaron Palmer and Mandy Ward, of Seagate Terrace, after failing to appear before Spalding magistrates on charges from April that they allowed two dogs and a cat to live in a filthy environment contaminated with faeces, rubbish, tin cans and other hazards.

Palmer faces a further charge regarding a tabby kitten in July.

The case was adjourned on September 12 because the couple were in Wales following a family bereavement.

Magistrates had hoped to deal with the case in their absence on Wednesday, but the court had been unable to serve papers for Palmer’s second offence.
