A MAN and a woman accused of producing cannabis, supplying the drug and of converting criminal property, namely cash, to buy a house in Kenya are likely to be committed for trial next month.

Michael Foster (61) and Susan Cooper (62), both of Garrett Court, Norwich, were due to reappear at Spalding magistrates on Thursday but the case was adjourned in their absence to July 17 at the request of the prosecution.

They face nine identical charges, including production of cannabis at an address in Bridge Road, Little Sutton, production of cannabis at an address in Terrington St Clement, supplying cannabis to persons unknown and of possessing criminal property, namely £20,000 in cash.

The charge connected to the house in Kenya relates to the period December 1 to December 22, 2009. The other charges date from 2004 to 2010.
