Attempted murder charge for Spalding man

A SPALDING man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in relation to an attack on two people in the town on Tuesday night.

Andrzej Chranowski (33) of Green Lane is alleged to have attacked a 59-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man - who both required hospital treatment for their injuries.

The woman is still in hospital in a serious but stable condition. It is thought she needed surgery as a result of her injuries.

Mr Chranowski was due to appear at Spalding Magistrates’ Court this morning.

DI Dave Swan said: “This appears to be a violent and unprovoked attack on two people who were tenants in the same shared property as the offender.

“At this stage it is unclear what the motivation was behind this attack.”
