Donington Firefighters issue appeal after another vehicle blocks their entrance

Firefighters are again appealing for people not to block the entrance to their station after another instance of poor parking.

Donington fire crews have been asking drivers not to park their cars in front of the High Street station after being delayed to a medical emergency last week.

But within days of making the appeal via the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian, another motorist had left their van on the lines.

Watch Manager John Scott said: "The driver admitted that he had read the article. It is surprising that someone had read the article and still went ahead and parked there. It is mind boggling.

"We did speak to the business and they have apologised."
