Long Sutton crash tragedy victim is named locally
The man who died following a crash in Long Sutton earlier this week has been named locally as Ashley Cunningham.
Mr Cunningham, who was aged 28, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the blue Mazda he was travelling in collided with the central reservation on the A17, close to the junction of Seagate Road.
Flowers and a cross have been placed at the accident scene in tribute to Mr Cunningham.
A woman in her 30s was driving the car. She has been released from hospital.
Police appealed for witnesses to the accident.
A statement said: "We are appealing to anyone who saw the vehicle lose control, or anyone who was travelling on the A17 around that time, who may have seen the blue 08 plate Mazda prior to the collision.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who has recorded dash cam footage while travelling along the A17 between Long Sutton and Holbeach prior to the collision."
