Potential Lincolnshire county councillors have between March 26 and April 5 to put themselves forward for the May 2 elections.
There are nine wards locally, with one seat in each.
They are: Crowland and Whaplode, Donington Rural, Holbeach, Holbeach Rural, Spalding East and Moulton, Spalding Elloe, Spalding South, Spalding West and Sutton Elloe.
The Notice of Election will be published throughout the district by March 26 and anyone interested in standing should contact the Electoral Services section at the South Holland District Council offices in Priory Road to request nomination papers.
Completed nomination papers can be submitted by candidates to the office of the Deputy Returning Officer at South Holland District Council offices between March 26 and noon on April 5.
Applications by electors wishing to vote by post must be received by the Electoral Services section no later than 5pm on Wednesday, April 17 and applications to vote by proxy must be received no later than 5pm on Wednesday, April 24.
