LEARN MOREResidents in South Holland can expect to receive their £150 energy rebate from next week.
The money is being distributed by the district council on behalf of the Government to help with the spiralling cost of energy bills.
People who who pay their Council Tax via direct debit will receive the one-off payment of £150 directly into their bank account.
A council spokesman said: "We are expecting to start making payments to qualifying people who pay their Council Tax by direct debit in the last week of April and pay these out over the following two or three weeks.
"We are expecting to write out to those who do not pay by direct debit in order to collect their bank details from early in May and start paying these out as we receive them back from mid-May onwards."
People with direct debits should have received their rebate by mid-May while the majority of non-direct debit payers should have their money by mid-June.
All payments have to be made by the end of September - but the council hopes to have wrapped this up ahead of this deadline.
