South Holland District Council is looking again at the £5 Spalding car park charge
South Holland District Council says it is looking again at plans to introduce a £5 car parking charge in Spalding town centre.
Traders and shoppers have spoken out against the plans, which were approved by the council's cabinet in October.
All day parking at The Vista and Spalding Bus Station will go up from £1.30 to £5 and from £1.50 to £5 in Victoria Street. In shorter stay car parks, such as Herring Lane and Vine Street, it will now cost £2.50 to park for four hours, a jump from the current charge of £1.30.
