South Holland District Council forecasts a deficit - but hopes to recover ground with more savings

Council bosses are still searching for savings - with a recent set of accounts showing a deficit for 2021/22.

At the last cabinet meeting, finance portfolio holder Peter Coupland said accounts up to December 31 show a deficit of £191,000.

The council is still trying to meet a savings target of £1.676 million - with £1.279 million found by December 31.

Coun Coupland said it was ‘favourable’ that the deficit could be recovered.
