Changing shape of high streets could signal 'new opportunities for independent retailers' - says Federation of Small Businesses spokesperson
Despite fears over the future of our high streets with the closure of a number of big brand stores recently, retail could yet undergo a positive revival.
That is according to a spokesperson for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), which represents small and medium-sized businesses, such as independent retailers.
This month alone in Spalding has seen M&S announce the proposed closure of its town foodstore, while Beales has gone into administration and Bonmarché in Spalding has closing down signs in its windows.
