Coronavirus: Spalding nightclub boss responds to Government-imposed shutdown

Spalding nightclub boss Matt Clark has tonight responded to the Government-imposed shutdown of social venues.

Mr Clark, of the Activ Group of Companies, said: "We have decided in light of the advice from UK government not to open XO this evening.

"On a personal note this is the first time that I have been without a venue open and entertaining people for over 20 years.

"I and my team are hugely grateful to the public for their support over that time.

"We are all lost without the amazing interactions that make our jobs so enjoyable.

"We have pledged to use this time to make further improvements to our sites and look forward to welcoming smiling faces when this impending iceberg has passed."
