THERE was no shortage of salad when a group of Spalding allotment holders held a charity barbecue.
Even a short shower couldn’t rain on their event in Horseshoe Road.
The barbecue has become an annual gathering after one of the allotment holders lost his wife to cancer.
A cheque for £400 was presented to Julia Rodwell for the Tulip Suite at the Johnson Community Hospital in Pinchbeck, where the allotment holder’s wife was cared for.
Thanks were expressed to the allotment holders and friends for their support.
