The end of a year-long refurbishment of St John’s Church in Spalding will be marked with a concert there by Cantemus on Saturday (7.30pm).

It will be the first event to be held in the church since the major project began.

Cantate Domino, a concert of sacred music led by Eric Wayman, will include the work of Monteverdi, Purcell, Mendelssohn, Fauré, Ireland, Vaughan Williams, Britten, Tavener and Cecilia MacDowall. David Shepherd will accompany on the organ.

Tickets for Cantate Domino cost £10 at the door.
